Jack Layton 1950 - 2011

Leader of Canada's New Democrats from 2003 - 2011 Jack Layton dedicated his life to building a better, fairer Canada.  Great things were done. Day in and day out he showed a rare passion, determination and skill. He was a fighter and a bridge builder and he never lost sight of why he was involved in public life.

Smiling Jacks torch will now be carried by every person who believes in a better tomorrow, every person who believes in dignity for our seniors and better opportunity for our youth and by every person who believes through working together we can make our great country even better.
Part of what Jack wrote in his final letter to Canadians:

My friends, love is better than anger.
Hope is better than fear.
Optimism is better than despair.
So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic.
And we’ll change the world.

The Festival of the rolling arts

The Sechelt, B.C. is a favourite annual show and shine for a lot of street rodders and classic car owners in the Vancouver area.  Sechelt is on the mainland but accessible only by a short ferry ride. The rod run held the night before the show and shine is always awesome.
Hubby took a few pics here and there coming and going but not of the run as he drives in it but here's a video of part of a previous years run.

One crazy day

Today is my only sons birthday. He’s 50 years old. I havent seen him or heard his voice for 9 years when he was 41. He took with him my oldest grandson who was 18 then and who is now 27.

How or why did this happen?  I'll tell you. I am not at fault but they are. They both owe me an apology but I don’t see one coming after all this time.

I bet they don’t even know what happened.

Here is a timeline and gist of it.

Our grandson M was going to be turning 18 and graduating high school the same month. He was in need of a car as he had totalled the one he had purchased in a rear end accident on the way to school; going too fast, not watching what he was doing, tailgating a friend. Our oldest grandaughter was in the passenger seat and thankfully neither was injured. Insurance took care of his car loan but he was left without wheels or money. He had planned on starting collage in the fall, living at home and driving home every day.

It just so happened that around that time I had been thinking of trading in my car for a new model and this event made me speed up my actions as I was inspired to give him my old car as a bd present and graduation gift. First we talked at length to our son and daughter-in-law who were totally delighted at the offer and so I went car shopping.

It was to be a surprise and I remember well the conversation we had with them at which time our son said “this will help out our family a lot as M will be able to drive his sisters to and from school and their sports activities as well as attend collage while still living at home”

I was very concerned about the possibility of an accident and somebody dying or being seriously injured in my old car. How could I live with that? I wasn’t sure because of his accident, had he learned his lesson? Was he a good driver? Should i even be thinking of doing this? I needed to be very sure of this gift. The car wasn’t at all old at 13; it was a nice sporty model and in great condition as I had purchased it new and you know I drove it like a little old lady. It still had the looks and style of a new car and it was a heavy bodied vehicle, low milage, no scratches, never been in an accident and fully loaded with all the bells and whistles. I should mentioned too that since M was 5 yrs old he had stated his love for the car many times. He had often asked me to never sell it or at least to save it for him until he was old enough to buy it. I had always laughed at this but now here it was and it was the time! We had many happy memories and fun times in that car, tooling down the highway singing “If I had a million dollars” at the top of our lungs.

I loved that car but I had also seen the new model…. and so I took it into the dealership and they gave it a thorough going over to ensure it’s safety for it’s new young owner. And finally then I was assured that it was a car that nobody would die in and it was was a safe vehicle and everything would be ok.

After much discussion with the parents over a period of a few weeks the big day finally arrived. I drove my old car one last time out to their home while hubby followed in my new one. Needless to say M was thrilled although the surprise had been ruined by his parents telling him ahead of time. Of course in retrospect I remember he visited us more than ever in the previous few weeks, driving over in his girlfriends car and phoning several times a week….guess I just thought he loved his grandparents or something.

We should have known that he knew, but no matter; it was still an exciting moment. Finally we were off to the insurance place where it was found he couldn’t afford the insurance and his mom had to produce her credit card and that was a disappointment but I said nothing. He did however offer me a loonie which is what we thought was the procedure in giving a vehicle. We had mistakenly thought it had to be sold for a dollar to make it legal.

It had been a fun and exhilaratingly joyful day and I was really proud and happy and M was happy. I thought everybody was happy. Well, I thought we all were happy at the time.

It was when he offered me the loonie that I said to him “all I want is for you to drive it over and park in the driveway with my new car so I can look out and see them together”

Turns out that was my first of two mistakes and too much to ask and little did I know I’d never see him or that car again. So what was wrong with that request?
I didn’t think there was anything wrong with it at the time but since then even my hubby disagrees and says I shouldn’t have put that on him, like a payment or a “come kiss my feet” sort of request. Who thinks that way? It wasn’t anything remotely like that but maybe the apple dosn't fall far from the tree and that's how it was interpreted.

So, week after week went by and M didn’t drive up nor did he call. I knew he had a summer job in Whistler and I realised he was a busy kid, working and playing in a fabulous playground; he had wheels and money in his pocket and wine, women and song going on so I really didn’t sweat it. We were busy too. I did ask re his welfare of both his parents at separate times and asked them to tell him to give us a call when they heard from him or if he came home on the wknd. Then summer was over and M was attending the collage but very soon after we got the word that he had quit school and was working full time at the job in Whistler. We also heard that he had found the time to drive out to Edmonton for a few days. While I was glad he was getting around and having fun it secretly peeved me that he could do so much but not have time to call his grandparents. After 6 months there’d still been no visit or a call even though there had been a flurry of visits and calls from him earlier in the year, ok, I’ll say it “before he got the car” It seemed strange and unusual for him to not be in touch but I felt out of the loop and didn’t know what was going on and maybe it was also a busy time in our lives too. I then inquired again to my son and separately to my daughter in law. This wasn’t in a special call or visit; it was merely in passing that I asked them to tell him to give us a call. I mean, isn’t that what people do when they call someone who isn’t home they say “get him to give us a call when he gets in”? At the time I probably just thought dam kids, they never think of the old folks but I really don’t remember but i'm sure I didn’t think of it as being any big deal.

Thanksgiving arrived and so did M and his family. We feasted that year at our daughters home and M brought a friend which made it awkward to talk or get caught up with him and his life and plans. At this point I still hadn’t had the pleasure of seeing him at the wheel of my old car nor had it been in our driveway but then it was no biggy; I really am a very laid back grandma. At some point his friend mentioned that he had quit school at the same time as M and they were both working at the same job. We didn’t know any of that but he went on to say they planned to return to school after a year off. As it turned out the friend was easy to talk to; I was happy to hear something about their life; M was out of the room and I was talking to this friend re quitting school and how hard it would be to go back a year older than the rest of the students when

suddenly my son was there asking me why I was lecturing this guy. I laughingly denied any lecturing and so did the guy who said it’s ok, my parents and grandparents said the same thing. But I felt my sons anger and it was an uncomfortable moment to say the least. I felt then that I couldn’t even talk to my grandson about it; that it was none of my business and so I shut up. Something was going on and we wern’t to know. I even thought maybe we don’t want to know.

A week later at another grandchilds birthday party the other grandma told me all sorts of stuff that I hadn’t been privy to. It sucked but I didn’t say anything to anyone even though it miffed me that she always knew everything that i didn't.

Another week went by and on an outing with my daughter-in-law I asked her if would she tell M to give us a call. It was just a very brief request from a concerned grandma with no animosity or angst and then we talked of other things.

A week later I was just about to leave the house when my son phoned. He seemed in a good mood as he told me about his work and a friend who had recently passed away. We chatted for almost an hour about all sorts of things and it was possibly the best conversation I had with him ever. Then as we were just about to hang up the phone he mentioned that M might be home the next wknd but he wasn’t sure.

That’s when i said “if he comes home, tell him to give us a call; we havent heard from him in ages, ever since we gave him the car”

That’s when my son went ballistic hollering at me “that’s all you care about is that dam car! I told you not to give him that car! I told dad not to give him that car! All you’ve done is harp on it constantly!” “why did you have to go and give him that dam car”? “Harping constantly!”

I tried to remain calm even though I was seeing red. "Constantly?" I quietly responded that isn’t how it was but he was on a rant. He got louder and repeated the thing about “harping constantly” I denied it because I didn’t think I had done that. I know I didn’t do that and my mind was in a turmoil wondering wtf? I was trying to think fast, to find words to say that he had never talked to us about not wanting us to give M the car…..and how many times did I actually ask him to give M the message to call us…..how and when did I mention it….I remembered asking him twice and our daughter-in-law twice over a period of 6 months….or was it 3 times each and he was totalling them? Was it 6 times to two different people in a 6 month time period? and was that too often? Who would think that was too often? And what was the real problem? What the hell?

I then clued in immediately that it was mainly those last 7 words “ever since we gave him the car” that had hit his sore spot and I regretted saying that but it was too late, the words had come out without meaning to specify that. I should have said “we haven’t heard from him in ages, since the first of April” or “for over 7 months or something giving a different timeline reference like April fools day? I guess I just remembered in that frenzied time that it had been ever since we had given him the car and so I said that, not thinking anything of it, not even thinking it was wrong to say that. In that moment he was hateful and angry and there was no going back. All I could do was try to remain calm but I also needed to correct him on when he was saying “I sat right there on your couch and said do not give him that car!” There was no truth to that; it hadn’t happened and I didn’t even know what was now happening or where he was coming from. It was like a nightmare as I started raising my voice in order to be heard. Then he said “mother, you’re nuts. You should see a Dr. You belong in the nuthouse”

That’s when I hung up the phone.

Later when my husband got home I was a wreck telling him all this. He immediately phoned and got him out of bed to tell him “you were wrong, none of that shit is true and you owe your mother an apology” and then I heard him fumbling for words as his son was trying to tell his version of the story saying awww dad…. Then I heard my husband say to him “ awww dad nothing, you better cool off and don’t call until it’s with an apology to your mother” and he hung up the phone.

And that’s it. Nine years we’ve been waiting and still he doesn’t call. Needless to say the relationship with his wife and other kids is strained but the two youngest are friendly and outgoing and I can see what they’re doing via face book. Our oldest grandaughter was married last summer and we received an invitation but declined. How do you show up at such an important event as her wedding knowing our son will obviously be there, and most likely drunk. We wouldn’t take a chance of ruining her wedding with the chance of this drama and so didn’t go and I don’t think she really expected we would. We also missed the three girls graduations from high school fearing his reaction. I’ll never forget her graduation when instead of going to it we went to Tim Hortons where I burst into tears and sat there crying in my soup.

I miss my daughter-in-law very much as well. We were communicating for the first few years, meeting for lunch, on the phone and by email and it was a long time before I realised she was always fishing for info on things she would never have asked on her own previously like got any vacation plans? Got any new furniture? Etc. I could tell even the kids were fishing for various info that wasn’t in their usual interests and I knew they were giving their dad all the gossipy goodies and that really pissed me off. So then I ended all that because she betrayed me in my request to not tell my son anything I said and to please not show him my emails. She agreed to my request by giving me her work address to email instead of sending to their house but then one day she let it slip that she was sharing my words with him. It was difficult but my feeling was why does he want all our info; we don’t ask anything about him….so I don’t want him to know anything about us, what we’re doing or where we’re going is none of his business.

So now, we get a snail mail catch-up letter and new pics of the kids twice a year but we don’t return anything to her; no info at all, not even when my hubby was sick in the hospital and almost died. I will be relentless until I get my apology and hopefully an explanation but that isn’t a requirement. In the meanwhile I heard that M has a nice girlfriend, is now driving a truck and works out of Province but has bought a condo in the little town where I go to see my Dr. and he comes back for a week every month. I always think maybe I’ll see him somewhere there going about his business but so far it hasn’t happened and probably never will. I don’t know how I’d react if I saw him; I’m still very raw about the whole thing as really, theres no reason for him to be in a feud with us. I don’t even know him anymore and actually didn’t recognise him when I saw a balding young man in the wedding photos who looked like Prince William and I didn’t even know it was M until I figured out ok; Prince William wasn’t invited so who is this guy?

Also saw pics of my son walking his daughter down the isle, drunk, red faced and pie eyed looking miserable like it was the last place on earth he wanted to be instead of joyful at his daughters wedding.

As I finished writing this up I glanced at the time. It’s exactly 50 yrs ago he was born right down to this very minute of 1 a.m. Aug.07, 1961.

I was 17 when he was born. Maybe I was too young to be a mother but I did the best I could and he still turned out to be a jerk. His sisters born a year earlier turned out good. It’s taken me 9 long years to even be able to speak of it and I did it on the spur of the moment when I realised the date. It’s unbelievable that he’s 50 years old. Guess I won’t be wishing him a happy birthday. Actually I still can’t speak of what happened but I can now finally type of it without bawling in frustration. So there it is, a true story of what happened to our family on one crazy day 9 years ago.

Did you hear the one about the two Mexicans

Two Mexicans are stuck in the desert after crossing into the United States, wandering aimlessly and starving. They are about to just lie down and wait for death, when all of a sudden Luis says...

"Hey Pepe, do you smell what I smell. Ees bacon, I theenk."

"Si, Luis, eet sure smells like bacon. "

With renewed hope they struggle up the next sand dune, and there, in the distance, is a tree loaded with bacon.

There's raw bacon, there's fried bacon, back bacon, double smoked bacon... every imaginable kind of cured pork.

"Pepe, Pepe, we ees saved. Ees a bacon tree."

"Luis, maybe ees a meerage? We ees in the desert don't forget."

"Pepe, since when deed you ever hear of a meerage that smell like bacon...ees no meerage, ees a bacon tree."

And with that, Luis staggers towards the tree. He gets to within 5 metres, Pepe crawling close behind, when suddenly a machine gun opens up, and Luis drops like a wet sock.

Mortally wounded, he warns Pepe with his dying breath, "Pepe... Go back man, you was right, ees not a bacon tree!"

"Luis, Luis MI amigo... What ees it? "

"Pepe.. Ees not a bacon tree. Ees. . .

Ees. . .

Ees. . .

Ees. . .

Ees a ham bush...."

SO SORRY I know there is something wrong with me for putting this on my blog. I just found it so funny and couldn't help it!

And I bet you tried to do the accent didn't you?? I know you did!

Circumstantial evidence

Jane Vallez Mitchell of HLN's Issues today gave  an example of circumstantial evidence that i thought was very insightful and easy to understand although not exactly the definition of the words in my dictionary.

She said "you wake up in the morning and go outside to get the newspaper. It's been thrown on the grass which is wet and the paper is soaked through. The sky is dark and cloudy and the trees and all the plants are wet, the houses and cars all have water droplets all over them and theres puddles of water in the street. You didn't hear or see the rain but you know obviously it has rained during the night."

My dictionary which is old and grey says circumstantial means "incidental, not essential and not important" What???

It most definitely had been raining and i think even a dimwit can figure that out.

And so can a jury who heard all about Casey Anthonys lies and her mysterious actions on the day her daughter was last seen with her driving away. That along with the many experts who testified as well as the many incidences told of her life tells a tale of which there's no mistaking that she killed the child and covered her tail while the body decomposed.
The jury didn't need to have any cause of death specified as Caylee was a healthy 3 yr. old. It's proof enough that the kid was found dead, duct taped, triple bagged and thrown away like trash and then mama enjoyed her freedom for 31 days. There's just no excuse for coming back with not guilty.

Just like in the example from Jane all it takes is common sense to know what happened. Anthony is guilty as hell, there's just no other answer.

Caylee's law

My attempts to start or at least sign a petition for Caylee’s law in Canada have either led me back to the U.S. (which we’re not able to sign) or to signing up through Petition Canada which lists all petitions in general and this one isn’t specified. To even join one has to allow facebook to access your info and/or email and i’m not comfortable with their rules or plea for money so backed off of signing up. So a dead end but maybe it’s just all too new and in time someone will figure out what i can’t.

It’s a law definitely needed everywhere. Had this law been in effect in Florida Casey would be facing 15 years behind bars for not reporting Caylee missing for 31 days causing unnecessary stress and big expense to the taxpayers. Even then it was grandma who called, not Casey. If it were left up to Casey she never would have reported her child missing and that’s because her daughter wasn’t missing; she was dead. Who would report a dead person if you were the murderer? Casey knew where she had dumped the body and so Caylee wasn’t actually missing at any time at all. Why would she tattle tail on herself; you’d have to spin a pretty good yarn to explain the cause of death and no matter what that’s going to get a sure prison term. Whether Casey knew what the law was or not; at least she was in a position of being able to take her time to get a story all figured out. So, she was as free as a bird with nobody to answer to while her daughter decomposed to the point of no one being able to find the cause of death which is the reason she’ll be walking out of the court a free woman on July 17. She’s not guilty and certainly not innocent but she did succeed in what she set out to do which was to free herself from the duties of a mother.

It’s hard to think there could ever be another case like this because usually there’s more clues right up front; clues that family members should have been concerned about but weren’t. But in just about any case of a dead child this law would help close up the cracks in the present system and put the killer in prison for a while.

In many ways I fault George and Cindy for not knowing something was wrong and for not looking for Caylee or questioning Casey as much as they should have. To not even know their daughter wasn’t employed is just plain stupid or they dam well knew she was hiding something and turned a blind eye to the facts. We had a grandchild live in our home from the age of 18 mths to 4 years old and you better believe we’d never let that kid be out of our sight or at least on the phone every single day. And our daughter was a reliable responsible person working at a real job where we could phone at any time and take him to surprise his mother for lunch. There was no chance of us not knowing where he was or his well being at all times; that’s what grandparents do and moreso since the child lived in our house! Caylees home was their home and they knew Casey was a liar and a thief and not a responsible person and they must have known she had no income and no way to make a proper home for Caylee, even if under the understanding of it being a temporary situation. They knew their grandchild would be sleeping in the car or on some unknown couch or floor, eating on the street, eating unhealthily or being in the company of party boys they didn’t even know. How neglectful is that and why didn’t they take action on the first day? The second or third day? And wait until 31 days had passed without at least hearing Caylee’s voice on the phone. Doting grandparents they were not!

This will happen again, another kid, another day. There’s always copy-cat murderers looking for the path to freedom, fame and fortune and a cute little innocent child can be easily thrown away like trash in the blink of an eye and a flick of the finger of the person they should be able to trust the most.

Some States do have a felony law for a missing child who isn’t reported after 12 hours, another has it for 24 hours. What parent, caregiver, relative, friend or neighbour who suspects wrong doing when a child under the age of 12 isn’t around anymore wouldn’t report the child missing?

Another part of Caylee’s law is to disallow any profit made by the family of such a victim. It appears Casey could become rich from movies, books, pictures (ABC paid over $200,000. already for the many pics we see of Caylee) which Casey sold them back in 2008 when the body was still warm. Most of that went to her lawyers and the $70,000 income tax still hasn’t been paid. Crooked people and their crooked lawyers will always be around making a sordid ending to the story of the life of an innocent child.

We’ll always remember Caylee and her family as well. I have a feeling we’ll hear lot’s more about her mother, probably all bad and so it should as she brought this all upon herself with her selfishness and lies. She’ll continue living the same way as a leech upon her family and friends. Just because a jury said “not guilty” doesn’t mean she’s innocent of terrible crimes inflicted and the horrible death this child.

So much for the sunshine law!
To end on a lighter note you sure can’t believe everything you hear on tv.

I’m sure you’ve heard lot’s of Nancy’s bombshells such as “Casey burst into tears” and "then the water works started" when in reality she didn’t shed a tear.

Reporters like Jean Casarez are generally fairly accurate but concerning Caseys hair she said it hasn’t been cut since she’s been in jail, no scissors allowed, no special haircut ever given. Why then is it shorter on the sides….so short that Casey has to finger it back off her face in that annoying way that she does……constantly………………………..

It has been cut somehow; did she bite it off?

Why do reporters always lie?

NOT GUILTY!!!!!

Unbelievable.......Casey Anthony was found to be NOT guilty this morning

1st degree murder  -  not guilty

Aggrevated child abuse -  not guilty

Aggrevated manslaughter of a child -  not guilty

Guilty of providing false information to a law enforcement officer. Penalty will be given on Thursday.
The max would be 4 yrs and since she's been in confinement for 3 yrs now she will likely walk in a year or less.

Unbelieveable. I could not believe my ears. Somebody killed this little girl and threw her away in the woods like she was just a piece of trash. The last person seen with Caylee was her mother.

Casey can resume her life of lies and party till the cows come home.

This was a total miscarriage of justice and Caylee is still dead.

Casey Anthony; a combined take on a sociopath

The ever happy Casey Anthony

This is a collaboration of my friend Marianne’s story combined with my own take on the Casey Anthony story.

We can socially fault the Anthony family but the one who is on trial is 25 yr. old Casey.

Casey took the easy road and didn’t get a job, using her parents to support her and her daughter Caylee. Casey left Caylee with her friend saying that she was going to work when in reality she was clubbing and hanging out with her peer group.
Casey stole money from her mother and grandparents to the tune of over 7 thousand dollars.
Casey stole money from her friend and wrote bad checks for several hundred dollars worth of Walmart items like sunglasses, beer, party snacks and lingerie in the 31 days her daughter was missing. Nothing was purchased for little Caylee and it's now thought she was probably dead on day 1.
Casey fabricated the Nanny story and told family and friends that Caylee was with the nanny.
Casey told Amy H. that she was going to inherit her parents home (who knows perhaps they were next to go so she could fulfil this dream) and then she told Amy H. that her father was on the way to the hospital due to a heart attack and so on in a string of lies.
Casey lied to her current boyfriend about the whereabouts of Caylee saying she was with the fictitious nanny.
Casey told her peers who asked about her daughter that she was at the beach or Universal or Disney with the fictitious nanny. Everyone thought that was wonderful!
Casey lied to her boyfriend, peers, parents, and police about having a job that she did not have. How is it that nobody clued in to the fact that without a job there’s no money to pay for a nanny and furthermore, calling this fictious woman a nanny rather than simply a babysitter. Nobody clued in to the fact that with Casey there was always the element of upmanship with her saying the nanny was not only beautiful, she was actually a 10! Believe it or not this kind of thinking is what made her and her friends think she was a good mother.  Check out the silent breakfast video of Caylee at youtube to see a different kind of cruelty.
She lied to her family about the nanny kidnapping her daughter Caylee and to the police as well and they believed her at first because in her own words she said “I’m such a good liar” She lied about where she dropped Caylee off at the nanny’s and misled police on a number of wild goose chases which she led them to the very last possible second before admitting these lies. Oh, and lets not forget she told Amy that the reason her car smelled bad was because of dead squirrels and her attorney claimed that it really wasn’t dead squirrels it was just garbage in the trunk. Her mother at first claimed it was leftover pizza before saying actually, there was no smell coming from the trunk of Caseys car.
Casey pretended in court recently to be not of sound mind but was found completely competent by a group of psychiatrists to stand trial.

Casey wrote cryptic posts on her facebook, myspace, and lying texts to multiple people.

She wrote a cryptic note in a journal that included the words “everyone lies, everyone dies” In the 31 day period during the time her child was no where in sight she clubbed, drank, watched movies, shopped, got a tattoo that was eerily cryptic and tended to match the journal entry.
She posted photos of her fun, she had sex with any available young man as long as he was handsome and a fun kinda guy.
She abandoned her car in a lot and later lied saying her father took the car to the shop.
She dodged her family’s attempts to contact her.
She changed her story from the nanny took Caylee to her father raped her and her father helped her cover up a terrible drowning accident.
She has told people at various times different stories about her parents, brother, family, and even other people who did or did not exist.
She has real people she tells stories about and fictitious people she tells stories about.
She even lies about what she had for lunch instead choosing to say it was something else. When the investigation of her own daughter took place she lied to investigators, led them down many deceptive paths again and again, just as she has led the court, jury and us watchers down deceptive path’s blaming everyone but herself for her behavior and the disappearance/death of her daughter.

Casey has never, never, taken personal accountability for anything during that time but chosen to blame real and fictitious people for all that happened. She was found guilty of check fraud and fined but her parents agreed to cover the cost of the payment to her friend Amy. Maybe they did it to rescue her which seems to be a trend, or maybe they felt bad for Amy who had her money stolen too just as they had had their money stolen by Casey. Their motive really doesn’t matter, it’s what Casey did and what Casey is on trial for now.

In the end it is all subject to speculation as to what part her family played in messing her up, covering for her, cheating with lovers or whatever. Or maybe she was just born that way. Her family isn’t on trial for murder. Her family may well be morally bankrupt but that isn’t a punishable crime. They may have enabled Casey over the years to lie, steal, and not take responsibility for her actions and be held accountable but that isn’t a crime. There are things people do every day from road rage to stealing candy off the shelf of convenience stores and it goes unchecked. Society is full of dysfunctional people who are raising their children with no values. Dr. Drew and Nancy Grace have recently both declared they’d cover up crimes for their kids too, sending this message to millions of viewers; protect the kids at all costs! I work with the public and I see a vast amount of immaturity, anger, and all types of inappropriate behaviour so it doesn’t surprise me that the Anthony’s act inappropriately or dysfunctional.

But they are not on trial; Casey is on trial.
Casey was during the disappearance of her daughter and is a legal adult. No one took Casey by the hand and forced her into the decisions to steal money from her parents, so the convenient lie of everything is my parents fault has gone out the window there. In truth what the State’s Attorney and most of us know deep down is that Casey made the ungodly choice to kill her child. Her motivation seemed to be one of selfishness.
Casey is the one on trial and maybe her family did enable her but they aren’t the ones who were last seen driving away with Caylee.
Casey Anthony is a heartless killer who doesn’t feel any emotion toward anyone but herself. If her father cheated with a woman that isn’t subject to law. Of course there are moral and social soft laws, the ones that we all live by that aren’t enforced but we know right from wrong and so the Anthony’s have broken some of those but they are not punishable in a court of law, like murdering one’s own child is. Bottom line in all the speculation about her family is that they aren’t on trial for murder but she is. Cindy Anthony lied on the stand after swearing to tell the truth. She claimed to have been the one who searched chloroform on the family computer. She was proven wrong when it was found that she was at work at the time but Casey was at home making that search 84 times over a period of time, starting 3 months prior to the childs disappearance. Apparently she checked and rechecked the chloroform recipes as well as neck breaking, ruptured spleen and how to make weapons from household goods along with different types of shovels.

Sociopath

Antisocial Personality Disorder is also known as psychopathy or
sociopathy. Individuals with this disorder have little regard for the
feeling and welfare of others. As a clinical diagnosis it is usually
limited to those over age 18. It can be diagnosed in younger people
if the they commit isolated antisocial acts and do not show signs of
another mental disorder.

Antisocial Personality Disorder is chronic, beginning in adolescence
and continuing throughout adulthood. There are ten general
symptoms:

not learning from experience
no sense of responsibility
inability to form meaningful relationships
inability to control impulses
lack of moral sense
chronically antisocial behavior
no change in behavior after punishment
emotional immaturity
lack of guilt
self-centeredness

People with this disorder may exhibit criminal behavior. They may
not work. If they do work, they are frequently absent or may quit
suddenly. They do not consider other people's wishes, welfare or
rights. They can be manipulative and may lie to gain personal
pleasure or profit. They may default on loans, fail to provide child
support, or fail to care for their dependents adequately. High risk
sexual behavior and substance abuse are common. Impulsiveness,
failure to plan ahead, aggressiveness, irritability, irresponsibility,
and a reckless disregard for their own safety and the safety of
others are traits of the antisocial personality.

Socioeconomic status, gender, and genetic factors play a role.
Males are more likely to be antisocial than females. Those from
lower socioeconomic groups are more susceptible. A family history
of the disorder puts one at higher risk.

There are many theories about the cause of Antisocial Personality
Disorder including experiencing neglectful parenting as a child, low
levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, and belief that
antisocial behavior is justified because of difficult circumstances.
Psychotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy are common
treatments. The effects of medical treatment are inconclusive.
Unfortunately, most people with Antisocial Personality Disorder
reject treatment. Therefore, recovery rates are low.

This woman is not nuts but dangerous and should be found guilty of the crime of snuffing out the life of an innocent 2 year old child. Her mother should pay for her lies and attempts to cover-up for her evil daughter. The rest of the people involved hopefully will learn of all the clues they had overlooked.

Will Jose Baez continue insulting the jury’s intelligence with his story of how the child drowned and claiming Casey is innocent of all charges.

What are the facts and what is fiction?

This little girl needs for justice to be done for the loss of her life

After 5 sequestered weeks the State of Florida has rested their case. The defence has rested their case and court reconvenes Sunday July3 at 9a.m. (6a.m.pacific time) and the jury will hear closing arguments and deliberations will begin.

Casey Anthonys fate will then lie in the hands of the jury who did not see much of what the tv viewers saw. Live trial can be seen at

O Canada! Terre de nos aieux
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!

Make love not war

A brief moment captured in the mayhem between lines of riot police and a raging fire just beyond a photographer captures a moment in time that has gone viral.
An Aussie man and his Canadian girlfriend had left the game and in the chaos became separated momentarily. The girl was knocked down and her boyfriend rushed to her side and lay down beside her on the street to comfort her with a kiss. The photographer was quick as a moment later they were upright. They were not making out as has been reported, there wasn't time! The photographer didn't know what he had until he saw it later at home.
Photoshoppers had fun playing with this romantic image, myself included. Enjoy the greatest photo from Wednesday.
