Hot off the press....

The P.O. gets in on the action. Within 24 hours of winning the first gold Canada Post released stamps to honor and preserve the first gold medal won on Canadian soil in an Olympic event hosted by Canada. I must say they look quite nice; bet they planned this.....

I'm sure they and lots of companies will come out with olympic allsorts. Well theres tons of stuff already.
The medals themselves are actually really quite nice; they're wavy to represent the west coast landscape of waves, mountains and drifting snow. Each one is different and unique as the medal was cropped from two large master artworks. Each Olympian will also receive a silk scarf printed with the entire design so they can look and see from which part came their medal.
I personally like the medals and the whole idea, others are saying its too much like a potato chip. Always somebody unhappy.
or hungry.

lol, no, not really. Its just that i've been glued to the tv so much. These Olympics are a big deal for us here. Too bad so many things have gone wrong that we sort of dwell upon, but dems da breaks. As if sunshine and warm weather is so bad, but you know, we agonize over not being able to show everything at its best, and that would include having enough snow for the snow sports etc.

Oh I am amazed by how you guys made this whole thing happen though.... it does show a lot of Canadian pride.

Very impressive work.
